About Ty
Ty Wilda was born with a creative soul (really – ask his mother), but it wasn’t until college that he really listened to his “creative bug” that told him to pick up a camera to express himself. Thanks to that creative bug finally speaking up, Ty has spent over a decade nourishing his passion for photography. As a self-taught photographer, Ty first focused his lens on capturing beautiful architecture and real estate properties, but has expanded his portfolio of services to include family portrait photography and commercial photography for brands in need of marketing materials.

Ty has worked hard to fully develop his craft to bring beautiful images to life. In a world where nearly everyone has access to a camera, Ty learned long ago that photography is more than just “point and shoot.” Creating compelling photographs is an intricate process that requires painstaking attention to detail every step of the way- the vision, the lighting, the angle, the composition, the editing; every aspect needs a uniquely creative eye and decisive artistic judgement. Ty’s work is his obsession – every day, every shoot, and every editing session is an opportunity to learn, to experiment, and to further develop his craft. Some of his favorite tools to use in the editing process are Photoshop and Lightroom because they afford him the ability to enhance his images with subtle alterations.
Ty has been humbled to partner with architects, real estate brokers, and interior designers to expand his portfolio and help them grow theirs. As a committed family man, he loves to express beautiful narratives through his family photography services, working hard to help families preserve precious memories for a lifetime. Recently, his artistic eye has been focused on capturing local businesses with unique aesthetics, and enjoys working with fellow entrepreneurs to promote their brands with his photographs as the focal point of their marketing materials.
A native of Appleton, Wisconsin, Ty attended The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where he studied communications and public relations. In 2007, Ty lucked out and got to marry the love of his life, Laura, and they currently live in Scottsdale where they are raising four beautiful children together – Mavi (age 7), Mason (5), Micah (3), and newborn Monroe, plus a mini-goldendoodle named Rex. Ty and Laura enjoy frequent date nights at local restaurants, and have somehow found time to travel the world – the two have visited Dubai, Barcelona, Prague, Rome, Venice, Paris, and London. Ty played soccer for 16 years, and loves following sports, especially college basketball. To Ty, family is everything, and he enjoys traveling back to Wisconsin with his family to hike, bike, and spend time on the water.
Ty’s work has been published in publications such as the Milwaukee Humane Society Calendar, Milwaukee Law Review, Troy Magazine, AZ FootHills Magazine, and a NewFoundland, Canada Magazine.
